Hi, I have another thread showing a tactic to help get profile pages get indexed but I thought I would start a new one to discuss an issue that a lot of people may be facing. If a website has lots of similar pages (lets say all the same but just a different link on each) then google probably won't index them all. This is why it is so important to put a little spun content on each of your profile pages to help get it indexed. Imagine thousands of internet marketers creating a profile page and just dropping a link in there. These pages are of no benefit to google so why should they index them? Adding a little content makes your profile page different from all the other people who just dropped a link in there and you will stand a better chance of getting indexed. This problem is created by the nature of the profile link and that so many people are doing it. Here is a video direct from google, they explain about this roughly halfway through. |
