Adding backlinks each day - question

Hello guys,

I have a question to those who add backlinks each day. When do you see any improvement in rankings?

It is known fact that when we add backilnks our site drops down a bit. After some time it get's back. So what happens if we add backlinks each day? Does it mean it only goes down? Does it go down until we stop adding backlinks?

From my short experience it looks like one needs to stop adding backlinks to see improvement. Am I right? I remember I was adding Anegla links halve a year ago. After like 30-50(added in 2 months) I stopped because my site was nowhere. To my surprize few months later it was up on the second page.

So it looks like it goes up very slowly IF we do not add links. Right?

The thing is Google sees this links added daily as a non natural link creation, they asume correctly that is done by either a link builder or a software. When you stop they asume those were normal. They key to it is to add backlinks from time to time. For my page I add backlinks every Tuesday and Friday every 3 weeks, that way I'll look normal and it'll reman a constant link building.

Thanks. That is interesting. The more I read this forum the more confused I am. Some peopel advocate to add links every day 100 times per day and some say Lik you that it s dangerous. Gee...

However my personal experience is like yours..adding a lot of links make worse than better.

I wonder if any link 'gurus' can reffer to this.

I'd try to randomize your link building and not rush it and try to not make it look uniform.

I'd not build too much at one time either. I find it good practice to take little breaks and let things settle though.

Well...there's no absolute truth in IM, we all develop strategies based on practice, and on the mistakes we make along the way. Just one advice, take whatever information you receive in forums, blogs, e-books, and apply what you think is ok, and as you do this you'll find your own strategy and path.

I have noticed the same thing.It´s important to do back linking, but you will get best results if you not overdo it.A few good links per week is enough.

One more time, There I Fixed It. The domain was registered 2009-05-15. As of today, it has over 100K incoming links and a PR5. Do you think they went slow getting links?

Bottom line, if you're worrying over a couple of links here and there and when your links will show up, you're worrying about the wrong thing.

you will not be penalised for building links everyday. infact you will see some good results if you build. If you build a set amount of links a day say 20 then google will not find all 20 links at the same time.

Remember google has to index the pages your links exist on for them to count and not every site has the same crawl rate.

If you have a brand new site I would recommend 10 links a day for 30 days and then you could start to increase the amount as time goes on.

lets say you had two equal pages competing for a search term, if on one page you build 300 links in one day and then left it and the other page you built 10 links a day for 30 days then the one that you built links consistantly on would rank higher.

I used Angela's backlinks too and I do come across what you described here known as the Google dance. But I certainly did not have to wait long before seeing my site coming back again and usually with improved positions. I really don't think you need to worry about putting too many links too frequently unless you're talking in terms of 1000s. So doing 30 links in a day should have no problem.

I can only inamgine as normal google hates to see spikes in links, traffic and clicks.

However if they see the trend is slowly increasing it should be ok to add 100's possibly 1000's of links a day.

Where I imagine google will get upset is if you normally only have 10 or 12 links a day to your site then over the course of a week for example you suddenly get 200 a day, then, back to the normal 10 - 12 would raise a flag with me anyway.

Steadily add them I guess is the answer and you'll be onto a winner. Adding them in bulk one or two days a month is not a great trend to follow.

Don't worry about how many or when just got get some links. If you did it every tuesday and friday every third week and Google did keep track you would have a foot print by doing that.

Just go get some, today do 5 blog comments, tomorrow do a blog post at merchant circle, the next day do an article and some blog posts the next day do some of angela's or all of them if you like, the next day do some book marking, the next do some rss feeds the next do some bookmarks or change them up which ever way you want. In a couple of weeks check your rank and then forget about it, keep doing the same thing and you will see result. Dont over think it and dont worry about how many links you're getting how fast. Just Do It.

This will NOT raise any flags, why? because you might have an article on your site that people actually want to keep so they link to it. one day spikes are a common occurrence

That was my opinion as to why G might drop a site for adding lots of backlinks in one day and the rest of the month nothing.

Your example is fine on the proviso that there is traffic also.

For instance... How can as in your example say 250 backlinks be added in a day if only 100 people visited the site ?

Again just my opinion and 2p worth.

Should I add backlinks in my local aera only or international? Let's assume my domain ends up with .de or .ru. Should I add backlinks only on sites with .de/.ru ro also .com? Does it count when I add .com?

What is exeprience of people who do not live in US?

I'd use common sense there... If you made website for people in Germany, then get backlinks from German websites.

In my opinion .com, .ru, .de shouldn't matter as long as backlink is coming from website with relevant content.

Would that be why using web 2.0 properties works so well? You can build a bunch of links, say 50-100 and then focus the backlinking on the web 2.0 properties to get them higher pagerank and higher linkjuice for you main hub page.

Best advice anyone can give is: Start link building, don't stop.

If you are using link farms and auto-whatever, that's not
what I mean by link building. If that's what you are doing to
link build, it will indeed help to stop that.

This is a huge myth that you need links from same niche or same topic sites. I like to read blogs about many different subjects and when I comment which I do on all of them (different niche)whether nofollow or do follow I use one of many profiles. I use profiles based on many sites whether clients or my many sites. They eventually show up and they eventually count. Links are links you can't controll who links to you and it's only so-called IM people who worry about this.

I build backlinks on a regular basis, almost daily. Because I personally feel that the more backlinks the better. And I guess my approach is good because I am having very good results in Search Engines as well.

Even if plenty of backlinks come to your site the natural way, additional quality backlinks are always welcome and the time you spend building them is not wasted.

building back links is not bad at all if you are building them on regular basis and in a natural way ..links from different c class IP and with different anchor text would make them natural

OK guys, thanks. But what about my question on domain end? If I have website "blabla.de" should I add backlinks to wesbites "blabla.co.uk" or only to websites with ".de" at the end?

Any experience here?
