Default 5 To Reasons Why Affiliates Fail With Google Adwords

Hello Warriors,

In this post, I want to discuss the reasons why most affilaites fail with Google Adwords.

First, it is important to identify what is Google Adwords. Google Adwords is an affiliate program produced by Google that relies on a pay per click search engine. You may have seen these on websites you’ve visited. There are numerous reasons why someone using Google Adwords as an affiliate marketing strategy might fail. The main reason - not effective use of the program. Here are some of the ways that Google Adwords is used ineffectively.

First place to start is when setting up your Google Adwords account. New account creators, target the wrong countries. Think about your product and marketing. If you are a global company or can ship internationally, choosing international countries for your ads to be sent to makes sense. But if you’re only capable of domestic shipping, and you choose international countries, you’re going to be getting hits from customers who won’t buy anything.

Second biggest mistake made is entering the wrong headline. Most people who fail to use Google Adwords effectively enter the wrong information into the headline, to effectively use Google Adwords. A headline should include keywords. Since keywords are the basis of Google Adwords, these are important in every aspect of your site when using this affiliate program.

The next big mistake area is in the description. This is usually only a couple of lines consisting of a headline, and two lines of description. After your headline, the next line works best as a benefit - what will customers get by choosing your product. On the third, write a feature of your product. So, the three main things that a description should have to work well with Google Adwords, is a headline with keywords, a benefit to the customer, and a feature of the product. As with any online marketing, include your website address. Customers are more likely to click on an ad if it tells them where they are going to be going.

The next item that eventually causes the failure of Google Adwords usage is using generic keywords. After the first twenty, keywords are sometimes difficult to come up with on your own, so most stop there. However, Google Adwords now has a feature that allows you to generate a list of keywords and tells you how frequently they show up. Ideally, a site should utilize more than 200 keywords.

Finally, to make Google Adwords more effective, it’s important to split test. Split testing is a marketing strategy that allows you to test the effectiveness of your ad campaigns. This, in turn, tells you what works for your product and what does not. Once you discover this, altering your site, descriptions and keywords to reflect the top runner of the test means more hits and, ultimately, more effective use of Google Adwords.

Using these strategies, will go a long way to making Google Adwords work as an affiliate marketing program for your product or service. Remember, know your market, use effective keywords, and test your site for effectiveness.

If you would like to learn how you can promote affiliate programs without spending money on Google Adwords, then you need to see my signature and shoot me a mail right away.

Thank you

I would also argue that one of the top reasons that new people fail at AdWords is lack of relevance and low quality score.

If google views your landing page as irrelevant, or you do not meet all of the requirements, your cpc will suffer. If your cpc suffers your profit margin suffers, and most people new in the AdWords realm are trying to squeeze something out of a rediculously small budget.

It seems this was just written to promote something in your sig, even though there is nothing there.

Another tip I would give PPC affiliates is that landing pages alone don't work very well any more. Most PPC super affiliates I know recommend full landing page SITES with some content, backlinks, privacy policy and contact us page at the very least - in order to get a decent quality score.
