hi Someone recommended me this website and the book - it's run by two girls - and looks good. The problem I have is: when I checked the website for some of the major keywords related to seo, this website was pretty distant in google (from the 6-th down to 20-th serp on google). I like it's potential simplicity etc, but quite honestly it's very lov compare to seobook.com, seomoz.com etc. The first thing you probably look for with the seo advisor is if the website he's promoting is optimized itself? What do you think about it? And what's the best service to start seo with? I'm starting to run ecommerce so it's not just a single landing page - I need to optimize the whole thing with a few hundreds of products Best JJ |

As you might guess the competition for SEO terms is intense and highly competitive. Some make it a 'blood sport' of reporting competitors and using other negative SEO methods. Therefore, I wouldn't necessarily expect someone selling SEO services to be ranked high on that term at a given moment. What you might want to look at would be some sort of client portfolio or client testimonials where the firm in question got a particular site to rank well for a moderately competitive term. |
