Hello all, I played around with Adsense about a year and a half ago. so, I have had the account for that long. Got sidetracked, discouraged with Adsense so had some sites out there displaying adsense but making pennies a day total. So, Xfactor's thread got me excited again, we are cranking about a site a week as per his thread. But in reading I am thinking that my Adsense account was probly Smart Priced, cuz my clicks were like 2 cents or a nickle a piece in many cases. So I took Adsense off of everything. It hasn't had any impressions in a week. Right now my All Time CTR is at 4.84%. Now I am wondering what to do. I am thinking that when a new site reaches a certain traffic threshold I will put Adsense back on. What threshold would that be? Any other suggestions, ideas? Seb |

None of the sites I build for lease have ever experienced anything that resembles smartpricing. My CPC for all sites has always been where I expect it to be. Call me naive, but I don;t believe in the smartpricing philosophy.

Smartpricing definitely does exist. Typically happens when users click an ad and leave the advertisers page very quickly (also called a high bounce rate). This signifies to Google that the traffic quality isn't great and it's likely that the users are somehow being deceived into clicking your links. This use to happen all the time several years ago when placing small images next to your ads was the thing to do. In any event, if you're not being deceptive with your ads, check your niches and make sure they're focused and clear enough to bring in targeted visitors (which you should easily achieve with xfactor's method). |

Well, I took Adsense off of everything for over a week, and put it back on 1 site a few days ago. Yesterday I got 2 clicks with a CTR of 4.65 and no money. This is really annoying. Seb |
