Default Any way to force a revisit of adsense bot? Got my initial index foobarred...

Can't believe I did this, but one of my xfactor sites went up with the wrong content initially and adsense on board. Once I changed the content, the adsense never did. I'm still getting adsense related to the old content and can't seem to get it to change. Any way to overcome this and force google adbot back by the site to reindex?

I've tried deleting and reinserting to no avail. Apparently the index is set until next bot visit... unless there's something (other than a brain :-) I'm missing?

Check your content, headers and title tags.

There's no such thing as an adsense bot. Ads are triggered contextually by your headers and content.

Oh yea, there's an adsense bot. It's called "mediapartners-google". Check your Google webmasters account if you have one and you can see the last time the bot indexed your site for relevant adsense content.

It will sort itself out eventually but can take a couple of days. Refresh the page a couple of times if you aren't getting visitors.

Thanks for the feedback...

I've been getting visitors and I've been refreshing the page. No luck and the visits aren't converting because the ads aren't relevant.

Yep, there is a bot for adsense! I also find it comes around every couple of days to my active sites.

I would suggest, don't waste too much time over it and focus on expanding your backlinks and other internet real-estate

If we could force Google to do things, there would be a lot of abuse happening.

IMHO - Peace

What?

Feed service versus bot?

I've only had this happen once, but it was only for one page in a site of 700 pages. Oddly it was also my index page. I goofed with it and kept adding keyword saturated content and the next time I checked, 6-8 hours later, it had been remedied.

You all make good points. I appreciate the help. I think the best course is probably to continue building backlinks which will hopefully trigger a bot visit and re-index.
