Adsense Pub ID displayed in public

Hello Warriors, thanks very much. this site and Warriors have been very helpful specially to newbie like me.
I have another newbie question. I came across a website (a adsense revenue sharing Forum). upon registering and putting my adsense Pub ID, I Noticed that My pub id is displayed on "about me" page. I thought since I am online, its probably normal. but upon checking other's profile, I can also see their adsense pub id on their "about me" page. Do you think the site is safe that member's adsense pub id in on display and others can see it.
Isn't your pub id suppose to be confidential?

I remove my adsense pub-id until i can get a Warrior Answer to this not so warrior inquiry.

Anyone who visits any of your websites on which you use Adsense can simply view the HTML source code and find out your Publisher ID... so no, it's not really private or confidential.

I'd recommend ensuring that you set adsense to only be valid on websites that you've specifically added to your "allowed sites" list in your Adsense account, however. That makes it impossible for anyone who finds out your publisher ID to then go and plaster it all over the place and give you invalid clicks and thus get your account banned.
