Default My observations of ranking on Bing

1. Domain age matters more than relevant backlinks. "my keywords" shows few of my hubpages.com and scribd.com docs but not my young "exact match".com domain.
Conclusion: Bing's uses "safety net" to avoid potential goofups with young aggressively optimized sites. This will likely change as they will evolve.

2. 301 Redirects are "BAD" with Bing. As of now. One of my domains is totally unlisted by Bing, yet on first page of Google for 100M competition. I analyzed it and the way it structured is - my domain.com 301 redirected to domain.com/pagex. When i access cache of my domain.com at Bing I see 1 page of content "Redirected Permanently". So instead of following 301 in standard fashion - Bing stops and poops.
Conclusion: Never underestimate power of underpaid programmers at Bing.

3. Strong accent is given to domains with keywords in domain name and title tag. I see a lot of these currently.

4. Bing changes lot on daily basis. I see my sites jumping from page 5 to #2 spot @ page 1 for 400,000,000 competition.
Type: "membership site" and see where memberwing.com is. Now it is on #2 spot for me.

Please share your observation and tips about Bing

I am submitting all my sites manually to bing, especially new sites and at the moment I have not really received much traffic.

Your tips and observations are useful, good post

I don't know but I have a website with only 3 weeks old domain
and out of 600K competitors my site is #3 in a fairly competitive
keywords but in Google I'm on page 6 not even on the first page.
