Don't stop! Ignore it and keep adding content and building links. I have been involved in site building since well before the notion of a Google "sandbox" ever reared its ugly head. The biggest mistake I ever made way back then was to worry and let it stop me from just moving ahead. I tried to "figure it out." STUPID MOVE on my part! I spun my wheels and had sleepless nights... all for nothing. Just put your head down and move forward doggedly. It'll all work out, I promise. John |

Zeus, Great advice and I will take it for full value. Seems that moving forwards and keeping a steady pace is the answer then. Best wishes Pete |

| Senior Warrior War Room Member | Hi FriendlyRob, The Sandbox (a.k.a. Sandboxing or the sandbox effect or the Google penalty) is a phenomenon that people have claimed to observe in the ranking of web pages that is performed by Google. It is the subject of much debate. Its existence has been written about but not confirmed, and several observers state that they have observed the contrary to what is claimed for this perceived phenomenon. Clint S |

| FriendlyRob, As far as I am aware, the 'google sandbox' is the place for websites with dubious trends and needs reviewing. The side effect is your website gets delayed in being listed or ranking is much lower than reality until it passes the review. Dubious trends may include a new website getting 100's of backlinks before it is listed or 100's of visitors before it is listed. But I understand it is possible to get out of the sandbox area by leaving the site to 'normalise' and then google will rank it properly. Hope this makes some sense and my understanding is correct. Best wishes Pete |

Keep promoting. In the case that your site IS sandboxed, you'll still be getting traffic from these new sources. If its not, you improve your rankings. Also, I read a thread here on warrior by a girl who got her site out of the sandbox quickly. If I remember correctly she did alot of social bookmarking. Do a search for the thread. Something like "How I got out of Googles Sandbox in 15mins" Sorry I'm too lazy to do it for you! |
