Hey,
Im 1st page Google for some competitive one word keywords and if you type this in Google adwords tool - it shows 1.7 exact monthly searches each month and apparantly to advertise at top of Google adwords would cost you $4k daily..... So..... I done an ezinearticle and have started to link to it etc and is currently on page 1, position 7 (after only a few days old). Now I know the sites at position 1 and 2 get the majority of clicks - however my article has been averaging around 50 views a day which is too low! What is going on? |

Are you logged out of Google when you check the position?
Did you use the Exact Search in the Google keyword tool? |

Apparently the numbers are meant for people doing research into PPC traffic. The numbers shown have very little to do with what people actually search on using Google.com. Do some research in Google about "Why The Google Keyword Tool Is Useless For SEO" I don't know if this is true - however, there seems to be a lot of info about it. You must be dissappointed. You could still make something out of what you have thought by the sounds of it. |

I know that logging out makes a difference. If you have a site that is on page 1 or 2, you can check for yourself, as often when you are logged in your page is high in the results, and then when you log out - it is nowhere to be seen. As for the exact search - it does make a difference from what I have discovered but mentioned a bit about the Google keyword tool in the post above. | |
