Default In your experience has the Adsense business become more competitive or is it still wide open?

I am curious as to whether the Adsense business is becoming more and more competitive or whether there is still massive opportunity within it?

I mainly would like to hear from old timers who have experienced success in Adsense from way back and who are still in it.

It seems to me that it is becoming much more competitive. While some here seem to be able to pick decent keywords almost at will...my experience has been altogether different. I have gone through hundreds of keywords and although I am still a relative newbie and learning...my experience is such that good keywords to focus on are not that plentiful.

I mean good keywords that have high CPC of at least $2 a click, very low competition of under 30,000 or so, a fair bit of traffic above 3000 a month (even better closer to 10,000 a month), and low page rank pages appearing in the top four positions on a Google SERP.

Such keywords are not very common at all. I mean strictly by the numbers without taking into account the other things like incoming links and so forth.

You can eliminate a great may keywords because of low CPC. Another huge chunk is eliminated by high competition. Still more by traffic that is too low. And still even more by having several pages that are PR4 or above show up in the first page SERP. The pickings must come from what is left especially for me as a newbie...which don't seem like much with respect to them being very common or plentiful.

I guess what I am saying is that it does seem like with the thousands and thousands and thousands of people looking for good keywords that the competition for such keywords is becoming more intense. With the result that there are less of them to be had that have not already been entered by others interested in them.

Personally I only need to find enough keywords to make 4 websites that eventually make $10 a day for me so competition or not...it's still a good thing for me to be involved in. But for the sake of others I may eventually want to steer into this market I am curious as to whether the promise of this opportunity is still there with respect to abundant and good keywords still being available.

I've heard from some of you already on this so I am hoping to hear from others who I have not heard from before.

Any thoughts on this? Is the Adsense market becoming more competitive in your experience or not?

What impact do you think the ready availability of material from John (XFactor), Mark (internetmarketer99), and others here will have on the Adsense market?
