major help needed

Hello All,
I started my site about 7-8 months ago and still a PR 0. I've noticed that Alexia has me at 11 million and I've tried so many things to improve this. Forums, blogs, social networks, press release, articles submissions, directory submissions, local listings etc.

What am I doing wrong?

Side note:
A few months back someone hacked my site and left some malware on it and Google sent a warning about my site. That was taken care of in less than 3 days and now it's showing that there was an issue past 90 days. Could this be the reason why my site is still low? If so how do I fix it?

Without knowing more about your site, it's difficult to say.

Most often, the situation you describe is because you don't have enough good incoming links to your site.

If your site has been hacked and been used to distribute malware in the past it could be on blacklists and getting off of them may prove difficult.

prosearchplus *com is my site. Now I've started out at 26 million so I know there was some improvement during this same time. So how would I fix my problem?

Links related to your keyword would be a start.

Can you elaborate please? I have text links linking to pages with the exact keywords phrases I'm using on my site. Maybe I'm not understanding you.

You need more of them from more diverse sources and preferably followed ones and from authority sources within your general niche.

Your Yahoo locals aren't followed links. Your HubPage score is too low to have followed links. Several of your links aren't there anymore. Client sites, when they haven't removed your link, link to your URL which isn't keyword targeted.

I couldn't find a single link that was followed that was for your "Hotel Website Design" keywords.

I see. So if I had my clients site that said website design and had that linked to my page that would be better? I'll also need to work on getting higher quality sites pointing to my main page under the same keywords linked right?

BTW, thanks for you help big time. I'm still trying to understand how this all works.

OK so now I took care of Angela's and Paul's links for this month and hoping to get better organic search results.
