I have several tasks that I'd like to be able to automate and I'm hoping people can recommend some good tools.
1 - I want to be able to do a keyword search on one of the SEs and then download the links for all of the sites that are returned - even if I have to go page by page. 2 - I'd like to do a backlink check for a website and download the links for those sites as well. 3 - I'd then like to be able to run those links in bulk through a page rank checker to determine the PR for each link. Can anyone recommend one or more tools that I can use to get this done? Thanks |

SEOBOOK firefox toolbar will also give you most of what you need for quick information on a website. It has a tone of gadgets built in for everything from yahoo backlinks to keyword tools. You can also turn it on when you do a google search so you can see all relevant information for every site while you're searching through google. I also use a tool called traffic travis, it might not be the hottest SEO tool but it does come in a FREE version which takes care of most of what I need it for when it comes to deeper inspections of a site. I can throw in a website and it will give me backlinks and all relevant information for those backlinks: PR / anchor text / IP / TDL's all broken down by number. between those three, you don't need to spend a dime and you should have all the information you're looking for. there may be better tools available, I'd like to know of better options myself. I just stick with what I know and what works until something better comes along. | ||

Thanks Jason. Traffic Travis looks interesting. Can you export the data?

It has an export cvs option but I've never used it.
what I normally do, go to 'page analysis', and create a new project for the website I want to research. After I've saved the project I then go over to the 'backlinks to site' and run that and it gives me a pretty clear analysis of what is going on with that site when it comes to backlinks. like anything, it's takes getting used to the workflow and interface but it's a nifty tool |
