Squidoo is getting into XFactor like product pages!

I just read an interesting news item.

Squidoo is apparently going to focus on creating product pages and selling companies the right to comment on these pages.

I thought that was kinda interesting in that John's (XFactor's) Adsense method involves creating product centric mini-sites.

I wonder if these Squidoo pages will go head to head for ranking with sites of the type that John's method involves?

Just thought I would share an interesting news story.
