Changing the title will affect your SEO, but as long as it is related if wont impact your rankings too much I would say if not at all. Google will crawl your site and update the listings

if you want to speed up the process log into google webmaster tools and re-submit your new sitemap to get it re-indexed.

Your title is the most important factor of any SEO strategy, so be careful and don't remove any of the words you wish to be ranked for.

With all SEO, little by little is the best approach.

It'll affect your SEO but whether good or bad it's difficult to say without knowing about your blog and the title you've selected for it. You know title is a very important on page factor so definitely proper title can boost your ranking in search engines.

I disagree that title is the most important factor in SEO completely. SEO should be built from the foundation up.

Imagine SEO as a house:

Every house has a foundation -- the foundation is distinct and preplanned: in SEO these are your keywords.

Next a house is framed - the frame gives structure to the house and stability to the house -- This is your description, the summary of your page it guides people to the information on your page.

Then you wire/set plumbing/insulation for the house and make all the insides work. This is where you are back linking, directory submitting, article submitting etc. The inter workings that are going to make the SEO "tick" and function.

Next up go the walls/roof -- the icing on the cake to complete the house: this would be your title & more

As long as your "house" is built the right way you will be ok, but there is no #1 thing, its a group. If any one part is missing the page becomes un-functional (but thankfully not completely worthless).

and finally if you want to be REALLY sure you can set-up another page with your different title on the same site and set-up google to do A/B split test's if you left this for a while and let both pages be indexed you can tell the difference (and get a wealth more of information).

but that should be a SLOW process as lovelylou stated
