Hoping someone with more Adsense experience than myself can shed some light on this for me... I was creating a new site today, using WordPress, and inserted some Adsense code into the front page post. Ads were showing fine and very targeted to the site topic. Then I started playing around with the WP theme, modifying the colour of the post font to make it a slightly light shade (instead of black).... Next time I refreshed the page, my Adsense block was showing Public Service Ads! It's a few hours on now, and it's still not showing the correct ads. Will this correct itself soon? I should add that my site isn't about anything dubious or illegal or 'adult' in nature. |

If you're talking about your index page, wordpress can sometimes take a couple of days before the wordpress ads on the main page become relevant. Try posting an inner page and you may have some more luck. The public service ads only display when google has nothing else to show - if you want to make sure this is the case, go to your Adsense settings and ask Adsense to display a blank color instead of the public service ads. Other than that, keep your content relevant and you'll be fine before the end of the week. |

Thanks for this. The thing is, when I first put the Adsense code in there, it displayed very relevant ads, but after a couple of hours it defaulted to the PSAs. I've added another page, but still getting the PSAs. I'll sit it out as you suggest, and see what it looks like later in the week. |
