Hey Guys, Just a quick question. I'm setting up a bunch of new adgroups for a new site of mine but the site isn't ready to send traffic to yet I'm just getting the adwords campaign organized in the mean time. So does it matter if I create a new adgroup with new keywords and pause it straight away even before it has been reviewed? The page isn't ready yet so I obviously dont want to send any traffic there yet but was just making sure it wasn't going to be an issue to have everything paused before it's even reviewed. Any help much appreciated. Tristan |

I believe Google checks the page for QS calculations right away. It's automatic as soon as you create the ad. So if your page does not yet exist, you'll get a poor QS. It's a bit of a pain to get them to visit the page again. The best way I know of is to create a new ad. My suggestion is to create only one ad. When the page is ready, create another (you're going to test two ads at a time, right?) and that will force the system to revisit the page. Note that QS is for each keyword-ad combination. So that new ad will have a much better QS than the original. However, both ads have to be taken into consideration so your overall QS will be dragged down. But, the good news is that when you get impressions, it should quickly stabilize to your true QS. This may all be irrelevant. I think Google revisits the page and recalculates your QS when you unpause an ad, group or campaign. |

Hi Tristan, Why not use the Google AdWords Editor? You can create your campaigns and have them all ready to upload while you waiting for your website to be finished. |
