Default How to get Blog Comments Indexed by Google?

What do you guys do to get your blog comments (for backlink purpose) get indexed quickly by Google? Do you ping the site after you leave your comment, socialbookmark, or just don't do anything? Or does it just depends on the site and how often G crawls it? Any suggestions.

I really wouldn't worry about this that much. Most blogs, whenever a new post is made, will do what is calling a "ping" and notify the search engines about the new post automatically. For example, WordPress will do this by default.

I would leave this up to the owner of the blog.

However, if you really want to, probably the quickest and easiest way to make sure the post gets indexed is to do social bookmarking on the URL.

I wouldn't bother though. I would spend that time making however many more blog comments you could.

As always, it's best to test. Just record the URL's\blog post titles and do searches a week or two later and see if they were indexed.

For example, you made this post today, just a few hours ago, but it's already indexed by Google. I doubt they did any social bookmarking or anything special regarding your specific post\URL.

Yet, it's already indexed in Google:

site:http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-ppc-seo-discussion-forum/130115-how-get-blog-comments-indexed-google.html - Google Search=

Of course, Google probably crawls this site a lot more often than some random blog.

Hi

A quick newbie question on blog commenting, do you concentrate on only blogs which are relevent to your niche or do you simply comment on as many blogs as you can including your URL in each.

Thanks

Not sure why you are trying to do this, but you would take the exact same approach as if you were attempting to get a site index and/or ranking high. If you are just leaving a backlink to your main site, and hoping to have it recognized faster, don't bother. Your time is better spent creating more backlinks and letting the spiders recognize them without additional effort spent on the ones already created.

Either/or. Assuming all other factors are equal, a backlink on a blog relevant to your niche is going to be more effective than one placed on an unrelated blog.
