How Long Before I get credit for backlinks

We all know how important backlinks can be to push your webpages on SERP. Now let's say i've submitted articles to many article directories and also submitted a few to web 2.0.

How long does it generally take before i can see the credit for my backlinks?

It really depends on where you are looking for it. I suggest Backlinks Checker Tool - Backlink Watch BUT you will not find them all there ... just keep backlinking and it will catch up eventually.

Credit? Depends on how important the page... not the site. Google doesn't crawl every page on every site.

There is no way to accurately say... everything would be a guess. If you want more "credit" then create links back to your articles from other sites.

Don't worry about it. Go get more links, preferably authority and niche related links.

you will only get credit for the backlink only when google crawl it. It may takes 1 hour..1 day.. or a month.. or more. For me.. I use to get link from social bookmarking and web 2.0

Hi sandysandiego,

As others in this thread mentioned, it all depends on when, and if the search engines crawl and index your backlinks. Some backlinks will get picked up within a day, others might never be indexed. Where you place your backlinks has a lot to do with when it will get picked up. You can help the process along by social bookmarking the pages where you placed your links.
