Default why pay for free high PR links?

I have paid for links from paul and angela and discovered how so many great ones were free on Alexa from another member. All are PR7-10 that I used. I'm I missing something here? I've already gone through around the top 100.

well, most people don't want to do the work, are unable, don't know how, to find their own backlinks so having them wrapped up in a tidy $5 pdf is a good deal for those people.

I'll admit, its a time consuming process that gets old real fast but while everybody else is waiting for the next pack of 30 you've already found 100 of your own. Once you get the hang of it you'll know exactly what your looking for and learn how to search faster and smarter.

I don't think you are missing anything, just remember, the site may be PR 9 but your link is on a PR n/a page buried deep within the site. There is a HUGE difference.

Synthesize me, And reboot, I need to start again, I need to make it different

As long as the inner page where your link resides can be found easily by the search engine spider and your link is dofollow, it's all good. Such a link from a PR9 site, for example, is very powerful, even if the page your link is on has no PR or very low PR. Ask anyone who knows his/her stuff when it comes to SEO.

it comes down to time and is it worth your time to dig these up or just pay for them? my time is worth more than that. but if you have more time than money it is up to you.

You can purchase a lit from Alexia of the top 10,000 sites, run them through a PR checker and then some other software to determine if there are community pages and whether they are dofollow or not. Angela doesn't just offer sites, though, she offers the documents, ready to outsource. So does Paul, in fact. Screenshots and all.

Why are you complaining?

You either use your time or money

personally I don't want to spend hours looking
for high PR sites that accept do follow links

$5 is well worth the info Angela gave me

but good luck with your efforts in doing it yourself

I agree with this. I know one can find high PR sites on his or her own to drop all those links in profiles hoping they would be picked up by SE spiders. Angela just does some labor-intensive filtering work - the grudge work to make it all easier to follow, thats all.

Angela provides convenience (which is probably the angle I'll take if I ever get into making IM products)

Let's say you can find a high pr do follow site that allows you to place a link, put the url into a document (pdf or w/e angela puts them into) in 30 seconds (this is actually pretty damn fast)

50 sites times 30 seconds per site = 25 minutes.

Now all you have to decide is if 5$ is worth more or less than 25 minutes of your time that could be spent doing somethign else. For some people the answer is more, for some it's less. For those for whome the answer is less, it makes sense to spend 5$ and use 25minutes on somethign else. For others it might be worth it to spend 25 minutes to save 5$.

Of course, that implies that you can find a site in 30 seconds None the less, Angela isn't providing some super never before seen secret, but rather convenience and a time saver for a very low price.

I do not disagree with you folks. The service that Paul and Angela provide is very useful thus me continuing with the small fee. I was only pointing out that with my free time I'm able to get these additional links for free and wanted to share it with people who might not have known. It really isn't that much more time consuming than using a list as Alexa kind of provides that list. For me it was simply checking each site to see if they allow for you to register and then simply doing the same thing I would do for the packet links. As for my time vs. value issue. I've recently started my business and things are slow so I have plenty of time to do this sort of thing. Best wishes to all and I still hope the information I provided was useful to some.

You don't have to hope they get spidered if you bookmark them and submit their rss feeds to rss aggregators.

Angela's and Paul's links make it much easier but I do believe at the same time you should be collating your own list of places to link to.

I did this for a few months and have a huge list of places to get my links from so I don't have any need for backlink packets anymore.

Of course, Google discourages someone to pay for page rank.

The importance of page rank is all about from Google's point of view, and it is very important too, as Google gets more than 80% of the online users to search on their search engine.

speaking of page rank does anyone have a clue when Google is going to update this? I haven't been ranked in 8 months. My site is moving up with regards to my keywords but not the actual PR.

The only benefit I can see of doing it yourself...is that they profile pages won't be seen as spam machines after hundreds of people use the same location in 1 month...seems some of these sites are getting angry, and not allowing for links there and removing yours sometimes...

so if you know of a way to find your own golden nuggets, that wont be used by hundreds or thousands of others, it may keep it safe...

There are a ton of sites I'm starting to find now. I still like the fact that they only charge so little for their efforts so it's still worth it to me. This way I cover more ground throughout the month. On a side note, I've notice my competitors don't even have keywords in their meta description at all and they are linked with thousands of crap links. What pisses me off is that they are ranked number 1 on the first page and I'm still on the second page with only using high PR links although only around 100 and proper keywords for my meta tags. I still think the quantity of links right now is more important than the quality.
