I use yahoo to generate insurance leads for my insurance agency and have 3 active campaigns with about 30 keywords each. I am wondering if I should use hundreds of long-tail, or should I say longer-tail keywords then I'm using now in order to get the bid down. How many keywords do people use in their campaigns? I would think there is a tool to come up with hundreds of keywords that I don't currently have.

I don't know about other people, but I found out that the best thing to do is limit the number of keywords to max 25 keywords (75 keywords if you put all the 3 match types - exact, broad and phrase) This way you can target long tail keywords that have at least 2 common words in it, and write an ad copy that is relevant for those specific keywords. This way the quality socre will go up, and the price per clik down. |

That is how I have it now and my quality score is at the max for all 3 campaigns. I think I'm going to leave those alone. I might try to do something with more keywords in a new campaign. I just wish I could hire someone to create 1000 more long-tail keywords or something. It is so hard to come up with new ones |
