Hey Warriors... I was advised by several people here that wetpaint.com is a good site for backlinks. But, I just posted an article a few minutes ago, and it apprears that my links are nofollow! Interesting, given that so many here have wetpaint somewhere in their link wheel. Anyone else seen this? |

It doesnt matter if your links from wetpaint or nofollow or not. Because the page is still indexed by google, and it has a chance that it may appear in search results, causing people to click through the links and arrive at your pages. I know because I have done so. I have clicked through SERP pages to tumblr pages and posterous pages and landed on the original affiliate page who spread out such pages in the first place.

I checked my little links of love and they appeared to be dofollow. but, I'm not sure where you have your links. after looking around some, the site is a mix of do and nofollow.

I don't think that I'm going to risk it. There are a lot of other sites that I can submit to. That sort of thing disgruntles me on principle alone... I submit a useful, original, excellent quality article. They make money off the traffic, and they can't even give me a lousy backlink to my site. Bahhh! They are dead to me. ;-) |

I have backlinks from wetpaint. I have also found backlinks on my sites as well as others from supposed nofollow sites such as MySpace. In my opinion even if a site says nofollow I will try for a backlink if the PR is high or it is an edu or gov site.

How are you submitting to wetpaint? I have a site there to build equity/authority for my main site. I didn't know you can post articles there and how do you get a follow? Thanks in advance! |
