I placed an ad in Adwords for an eBay listing that I had and it got rejected. It was obviously because my display URL was not the actual URL, nor was it a live one. I didn't know what to put, so I just made it up. Dumb, I know. My question is, will Google allow you to link directly to your own auction? If so, can you use your own ebay affiliate link to do so, even if it is your auction? Will both Google and eBay allow this? And what display URL do you use? I'm sure you don't use the real one, as it is way too long.
Thanks. |

Make a static landing page in your favorite WYSIWYG editor
with a picture of your item, a description and a link to the actual listing. Also be sure to hyperlink the picture of the product for sale in your listing. Treat your description like it's a salesletter. Hope this helps ![]() Jason |

Thanks, Jason. If I do that, wouldn't it be better to just have that be a sales page on my own domain or on craigslist and forget about eBay? That way I would avoid the eBay fees on the selling price. I usually use eBay to take advantage of their traffic to get exposure for whatever I am selling. So since I would be paying for the exposure, it might be better to just drive the traffic to my own sales page, which would be the same sales page as is on my listing.
Do you think it would better to drive traffic to craigslist or to a sales page on my own domain? Btw, any tips for improving my sales page? Search for item# 320434849753 on eBay. TIA |
