Default Will Google Penalize My PPC Landing Page bc of Countdown Script?

I have an adwords campaign running a promotion that
has a deadline and wanted to know if Google is ok with
me putting a countdown script on my landing page.

Do any of you know if this is ok?

Thank You In Advance

Jason

Hey Jason,

I guess it depends. If your page contains just the countdown timer, I think they will penalize your page. But if you add some basic stuff like TOS, Privacy policy, contact, articles -- i guess that would be fine.

EPIC AWESOMENESS ==> My Blog. Duh.

Desmond, thank you.

I have all that stuff that google loves.

My quality score for many of my best performing keywords are 10 out of 10.

I will put the script on and take my chances.

Appreciate the feedback.

If anyone else has anything contrary to what Desmond said, I'm all ears.

Thanks,
Jason

Hey Jason,

I second Desmond here. If you build a legit page with, feeding the google monster with what it likes, I don't see your QS taking a significant hit for a countdown script. Keep us posted though.

Just 2 clicks after I made the script live on my landing page, I made a sale!!

So far, I haven't seen any repercussions from "G" for using the script.

My quality score is still holding strong at 10/10 and my CPC is around the same as well.

Obviously with only 2 clicks since I put this in motion, it's not an accurate
enough representation, so will see how it goes after I get some more.

Only thing is my search volume is decreasing because the offer is being pulled
very shortly.

Hope this helps
Jason

You gotta let me in to your secrets! You're either freaking lucky or your landing page is converting at 50% !!!

Anyway, keep us updated if Google reduces the QS.

Cheers.

It was pure luck :P

No reduction in Quality Score, (at least I'm pretty sure).

I'm still seeing 7/10 and 10/10 for most of my keywords.

My first 4 or 5 campaigns before this were mostly flops except I
the last one before this where I broke even.

Overall during this campaign, I saw almost 4% conversion from
overall paid clicks and almost 10% from landing page clicks.

Sent well over 1,000 clicks. (went after low hanging fruit - HINT)

I'm seeing about 450% ROI* so far :P

Thanks,

Jason
