Hello, I am so thrilled I found the Warrior Forum. You guys are amazing. My story is that my husband learnt basic web design some years ago and we created a few websites for friends over the years and ourselves, but the ones we made for ourselves never ever made any money. Like many people in the world today, we are struggling financially and I recently lost my job as the company I worked for went into liquidation. We had heard about adsense in December 2008 and started looking into it and have created a few sites and recreated them again and have a little trial at clickbank and I wrote my own e-book which I have sold one so far but everything we have done has been what it seems is a massive learning curve, heaps of time and effort with little return. I would love an opinion on my main site which is my passion and something I love. It is getting about 50 visitors a day and I have just changed the template over to this new format. (We are trying to increase adsense money which we are getting about $5 a week) from this site. I am trying to write pages now with keywords that are popular and have starting article writing and so far i have submitted three today. I would love some feed back on any part of my site as I am struggling to find a job and would love to be making money at home. I know it takes time and we have been working solidly since December on it and yep we have made heaps of mistakes but I would love some help to maybe get things moving along. Many thanks. I have been so inspired by everyones posts and it makes me determined to not give up all the hard work so far. weightlosssecret.info |

The real monney with adsense is with the following formula No_of_Daily_Visitors X Click_Through_Rate = DAILY_DOLLARS So the more visitors the more money. But think about your CTR (Click Through Rate). Most people are happy with a CTR of 5-8%, when the true adsense money is being made when you get the CTR up over 20% Many of my Adsense sites do a CTR of over 20%, and some even over 30% per day. This is not one off ctr rates, but happens day after day. The way to achieve these high CTR is the positioning of your ads and the text surrounding your Adsense block. The fewer links you have on your site, the fewer places you give your visitors to click on. So all that is left i the Adsense links.. Play aboutI with a bit of different formats and you will start to seriously increase your adsense earning.. let says you want to make $100 a week. It hard to do with just one website, but a infitely more achievable if you had 50 website all earning $2 a week. It still the same money at the end of the day, but if one site goes off the boil, you are still gonna make 49 x $2 per week instead of 0 x $100! Just a few things to think about.. Hope this helps Bruce |

First of all, your inline Adsense placement violates the Adsense TOS because of the picture above it. You need to take care of that right away. Secondly, the below-the-fold sidebar placement won't convert well. The sound on loading is annoying. If you want to make this an Adsense site you need to simplify it but getting rid of the graphics and flash banner and placing a big Adsense block inline or above the text. You also will want to get rid of the newsletter sign-up and ebook sales since they will take away from the objective of getting the visitor to click the Adsense ad. If you want to use this site to build a list and sell an ebook, then get that up front. They're tucked neatly away on the sidebar. You need to grab the attention of the visitor that they sign up for your newsletter. In this scenario, you want to remove the Adsense since it would work against that goal. |
