Default Will Outbound Links Be Recognized If I Use an iFrame?

I have created a separate directory for my Link Directory, and I am using an iFrame to connect my main application with the Link Directory program.

By doing this, will Google not recognize by outbound links? Only the front-end directory page (with the iFrame) will be in the site map.

If not, then is the only alternative to create separate pages and link thru an HTML object?

Thanks,
Ron

Default Re: Will Outbound Links Be Recognized If I Use an iFrame?

The iframe source is a page that is indexed by google, of course.
Google has no control over what people do with their pages.
Iframes, frames, etc. A web page is a web page.

Now if the links are on a page that is neither recognized nor
indexed by google, the links won't show up.

I'll bet your real question is, does the links on the iframe count
like they are coming from the main page. No. Google credits
the links from the page they are on. So, whether that page is
iframed, framed, etc., the links count and they would appear as
if they were coming from that page, not the page that has
the iframe source code.

And as far as the site map goes, a site map is only useful if you have
other links that are not gotten to by any means from your main page.

Forget the iframe. Just list the links or link to the page via a url link.
Google crawls that and everything linked to it. The iframe is just a
programming trick. You still need a link to the link page from your main
page.
