Does PPC also help in organic rankings?

I have heard that my site's placement can be better if I drive traffic using PPC - is this true?

AFAIK,This is Completely False.
Most often,when people can't drive organic traffic they tend to seek the help of PPC.And using this isn't going to help your rankings.They are two different and independent aspects.

I too heard this story - influence of Adwords in SERP ranking. But i never did Adwords for my sites but i am getting SERP -raking 1 for some of my keywords.

I don't think that Google will favor for those who are doing Adwords. And moreover, I trust Google in that they won't do like that..!

No, PPC might be a good traffic source but it would not have any positive effects on SERP.

We receive some amount of traffic from PPC but its not help in organic rankings.

For organic rankings we need to collect backlinks on our targeted keywords.
