Hi guys, Just a quickie. Does anyone know if there is a way to determine the age of someone's ad on AdWords? I.E., I type 'shoes' into Google. Let's say there's an AdWord on the right - is there any way/tool to find out how long that ad has been there? Many thanks in advance, Scotty |

Short of having access to an advertiser's account, there is absolutely no way to know anything about any ad.

Why do you need that info? I also think that you don't have access to that kind of information.

You can go to Google, type in 'shoes' or whatever, and see who is advertising on AdWords. This tells you who is spending money on advertising for these products. But advertisers come and go. Those that disappear more than likely weren't making enough in commissions to keep up their AdWords campaign. What I like to do is to make a note of who is advertising, then go back days/weeks later to see who is still there in AdWords advertising. Whoever is still there must be making enough money to keep spending money on advertising. It's a good indicator of which products are making money. The problem is, of course, you have to wait days/weeks to get that data. I know there is/was a tool out there that can tell you what keywords an advertiser is using in AdWords. I just wondered if there was a tool that could tell you how long an ad has been live, so you wouldn't have to wait days/weeks to find out. Comprende? Scotty | |
