Hello. I had a question about the Google Keyword Tool. Which is more valuable "Local Search Volume" or "Global Monthly Search Volume"? Thanks! |

I usually pay most of my attention to the Local Search Volume. Unless you are running global campaigns for you PPC marketing, I don't see why you would pay much attention to the Global. Hope that helps! |

Go for the local search volume if you're checking numbers for SEO purposes.

Local search for SEO every time - when you try the same search phrase on various country-specific versions of Google, you'll notice the results vary greatly. So, when optimising, you are basically optimising for one specific country most of the time, as Google will favour sites hosted in that country, with that country's TLD etc. The recent changes have meant more "international" sites getting into the top results, but even so, I would stick with Local volume for SEO. |
