The PageRank Distribution was removed from Google Webmaster Tools and Susan Moskwa added:

Page rank hasn't really been a factor for a long time, It seems to be something that new internet marketers and the weird people at digital point focused on.

It's a fairly logical move from what I can see, Google have downplayed PageRank for a long time.

I wouldn't be suprised if it was removed from the toolbar before too long

I think it still is one of the factors in SERPs. However, people shouldn't be so obsessed with PR.

I agree, now these days are many obsessed PR and the meaning of SEO has no essence. By the it doesn't matter for me if remove the PR in toolbar or not, as long good in on-page and off-page optimization(making a quality backlink). Promoting and make have a good reputation of website in Social Bookmarking and Social Networking.

I don't know, could this be the end of those certain high PR backlink sites? Because they are all focused on page rank.
