For all of you who use AdSense out there: Does it seem that you only get clicks in the middle of the night/early in the morning? Because whenever I log into my AdSense account in the early afternoon, the dollar amount it is for that day rarely ever increases. I may log in at midnight to see it is the same as before, then go to bed, only to wake up the next morning with 5 mysterious clicks that must have occurred very early that morning. I'm just curious to see if AdSense tally's their clicks sometime in the middle of the night and that if this is a fairly common occurrence? Thanks, Jake |

Hi Jake, The data in your AdSense account is not updated real-time, it is usually delayed a few hours. When they go offline for maintenance it can be delayed by up to a day. |

From what I've seen there is only a delay of 30-60 minutes most of the time when I cross-reference my statcounter info to my adsense clicks. Some of my sites really do well in the evenings, barely mustering a dollar until evening and then going on a 3-5 dollar run. On the flip side I have sites that do well early in the day before lunch, seem to stagnate through the afternoon and then 5pm on start to pick up again. I really think it depends on the niche. If it's shopping or hobby related I would expect that evenings/overnight would be the best time. I'm sure that google has some interesting statistics that they keep on click trends correlated to niches, weather, seasons and who knows WHAT else. I wish we could get a pick at some of that data.... |

I noticed that too for my adsense sites. I figured it is because I'm on Asia zone and most of the traffic comes from US so in the day it's usually not as active as the night and early morning.

Maybe people are tired... and bored? So they click ads. People are naturally more curious at night when they are up unable to sleep.

Nope. But if you check your traffic logs you can see if you are attracting foreign traffic. Turns out when it's midnight here... where I live it's not midnight in Australia.

I do notice more clicks at night, my theory is that since most of my traffic comes from the US, that people surfing at work dont click ads because so many companies and institutions have software to block adsense ads from showing.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I understand that visitors come from all parts of the World but I've had AdSense going for a good couple months now and haven't seen a single click within a normal day's time.. only in the dead of night. But only one of my AdSense sites is getting a good amount of clicks and it's centered around a vice.. so that probably answers my question. I suppose I'll get daytime clicks once my "normal" sites start showing up in the SERPs |

Hi you didn't mention what part of the country your from. I am in California - here's what I have noticed from my time zone. People buy products the most between - 4:30 and 11:30 California time in the morning.....then it's from 5:00 in the evening till 8:30 This has nothing to do with overseas sales. |
