Default Your Thoughts On Off Page Linking & Linkwheel

I've been at the seo game for some time now. I got all the massive tools in my arsenal of weapons.

There has been a lot of talk on the Linkwheel, and there has been various graphs and diagrams, and structures put forth....and mostly by my students and subscribers I may add...lol.

Here are my thoughts..and you can disagree or agree.

Principle #1 - Be Random

Any linking pattern that is done over and over again is not in your best interest.

Principle #2 - No Reciprocal Links from your money page to your off pages.

Principle #3 - The Linkwheel diagrams are a marketing ploy to sell

Principle #4 - I use no pattern, no diagram, just start adding links

Principle #5 - If you do it yourself, use proxies and no fingerprints

Principle #6 - Don't be worried about being in the same niche when looking for a site to put your link on. Randomness tells me that this is okay.

Principle #7 - Just start adding links....

Principle #8 - Follow Principle #7

Hi Mark,

I agree with all your thoughts. Except not sure about #3 ...Sell what? All the linkwheels I have seen were free for the taking. Also most of the Principles appear to be reworded versions of each other.

I think LinkWheel is over as an effective tool and could potentially be detrimental.

On Principal #6 someone else on here is doing a long experiement and so far it appears that irrelevant or random links are good.

What are your thoughts on social bookmarking?

Linkwheel diagrams are free, but there is a fee to have it done for you...lol.

Regarding bookmarking, it is a necessary evil. It adds to the over all google juice of your site. The key is to use proxies.

What I have found is that bookmarking buffer sites is more effective than linking to your main site.

Does everyone here use proxies? Now I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't use it. Thanks for the info.
