Folks, My site is a .cc site (TLD, not co.cc) and has a lot of Inbound links , as you probably already know, there are disadvantages of using .cc domain from SEO perspective. To solve this issue, I am going to buy a new .com domain, setup a mirror site , 301 permanent redirect all pages of my .cc domain to pages on the new .com site. e.g. http://www.mydomain.cc/index.htm ===>301 perm redirect ==> http://www.mydomain.com/index.htm http://www.mydomain.cc/cheaphosting.htm ===>301 perm redirect ==> http://www.mydomain.com/cheaphosting.htm http://www.mydomain.cc/goodhosting.htm ===>301 perm redirect ==> http://www.mydomain.com/goodhosting.htm Is this the correct way to do it? Thanks! |

Another question, My .cc site is hosted in the US and I have set country targetting to US from google webmaster tools. Will Google treat/see it equally as .com domain?
