Default where do I rank?

Hi guys

I set up my first website a few weeks back - i'm now interested to see where I rank for a few different keywords. Is there a better way to do this other than going to google and looking for my site under each keyword(s)?

Is there a software/website that does this? Please, there has to be something!!!

There are certainly "keyword rank checker tools" available but relying solely on them is not a clever idea. The data center difference can give you different ratings. The best thing is to hide the proxy and then check your rankings. Those would be close to 95% accurate.

I recommend Web CEO if you have any budget. We use it at our offices to rank check clients on schedule, everyday. We then send out quarterly reports to keep them updated

The best way is that you search in google with some useful keywords like ranking checker tool, keyword ranking tool etc.

I agree, and that's why from time to time it's good to check with SEO Chat's Multiple Datacenter ranking tool : Multiple Datacenter Keyword Position Check - SEO Tools - Search Engine Optimization, Google Optimization .

But on a daily basis I use SEO Elite. It's a pay-for tool (buy through your clickbank ID and the price gets smaller), which I really like. It also enables historical charting of differences, so you know whether you're on the rise or going downhill with each KW.

I just leave it on, minimized to the toolbar to update twice daily in the background on all my keywords. This updates all keywords and whenever I check the results are fresh, with historical chart ready.

Hi Tyson4,

In case you haven't already done so, I recommend you add and verify your website at Google's Webmaster Tools. You will find which keywords and where your web page is positioned for actually searches conducted on Google.
