Keyword analysis is the MOST important aspect of SEO because if you are optimizing for the wrong keywords than you are simply wasting time.

IMHO keyword analysis is the most important part of SEO.

It takes time to rank. I don't want to spend time, money and effort ranking for a keyword that brings no traffic.

Keyword according to me is the single most important thing. It helps you get noticed for free. You come up higher in search results and your product reaches to those people whom you intend to reach.

Put it this way, its like you wanting to open a business but NOT doing ANY market research at all. If you dont do any market research, how do you know what people want? You could sell products but it would all be guesswork! If you know what people want, there is a very high chance that you would sell your prouct!
