Default High PR Backlinks Ranking Boost?

Hi just wondering if you have noticed any significant change to your sites ranking on the search engine, when you obtained some high quality PR1+ backlinks.
Did you find it had a immediate (within a month) and positive affect on your rankings, or did you feel it took quite a while?

It depends on how fast google indexes the links. I find certain links will give me a quick boost depending on how far up I am in the SERPS. If I'm already on first page, then it seems to go a lot slower. Getting first page can sometimes be easy. Getting the first 3 can feel impossible.

I used Angela's backlinks which are usually high PR links and I usually see some movement in SERP which is called the Google dance. It usually takes a few days to settle but sometimes it takes 1 to 2 weeks so there is no fixed time. Sometimes it completely disappears too but comes back after a few days. But definitely improves the SERP ultimately.

Google used to trust all kind of links, but I found that now, only PR 3 and above links can really give you some rank power.

I will try to get high PR links, especially when my site is new.

Yes, Angela and Paul backlinks is 2 of the best! You can rank high rather fast, I highly recommended!

It also depends on HOW you build your backlinks and what anchor texts you use.

I would vary my anchor texts with related keywords here and there and not always using the exact same keyword.

If done correctly, it's likely to see improvement from these backlink packages.

just to clear up any potential confusion

angela and paul links are not high PR backlinks... they are unranked profile pages on a high PR site.

don't confuse this with a backlink that has real PR

not saying they don't have any value but there are far too many people pitching 'high PR backlinks' when the reality is all they are selling you is generic unranked page to place your backlinks. There is a difference.

There is no confusion, most of the warriors already know that.

In general, most high PR page will be saturated with all kinds of links, and each link carry a lot less link juice when compare to High PR domain but zero PR on profile page!

The real reason for doing profile back linking is the ease of getting one way back links without too much work

Yes, but in essence what matters is IF the links produce better rankings or not. If they do, which many claim to be true, then there is no reason to abandon them.

In the long run a variety of backlinks from different sources is the way to go anyway, definitely not just profile backlinks.

I don't think they do, and from reading the number of posts by newbies talking about their high PR backlinks, it's very clear that they do not know the difference.

this quote is from this very thread...

Quote:

Even the responses to the OP's question, which was results from backlinks on PR 1+ ranked pages and half the responses are 'angela links', which are backlinks with 0 PR, so obviously, those people are 'confused' or 'ignorant' when it comes to page rank, backlinks and SEO in general.

Just trying to save the sheep from the wolves. Even your signature is pitching 'High PR Profile Links' which is deceptive marketing.

Not saying they are bad, I abuse the hell out of these types of links, but they are what they are and not much more.

Well basically, higher PR pages are favoured more by Google and I would guess the search engine robots will crawl these sites more often for updates.

As such, your links from higher PR sites will get indexed faster and be registered as a backlink faster.

^ Yeah I already read this. There are many speculation thoughts about this. And I guess they are just doing some improvement.
