Trouble tracking links

Been backlink building and articles etc for the last month, however looking at yahoo site explorer and a few other tools I am only finding between 1 and 5 links for the site.

Not to sure why. How long should social bookmarks, articles etc take to show up?

Really depends on where you put your backlinks and if the SE spiders can find them.

Really impossible to say specifically. Just too many factors out of your control. The main one of which is when the page with your link is spidered.
