Is it harder to get a blogspot blog ranked?

I have several blogspot blogs that seem not to get ranked as fast and arent ranked as high as regular websites. Do you guys have any techniques for blogger blogs?

Search google for "make money online" (without quotes). My results show 2 of the top 5 spots are blogspot blogs.

I don't have any secrets for you, but you might want to study these blogs for guidance as they seem to have figured it out.

Blogger blogs do take some time to get ranked as compared to wordpress.com blogs, that's what I've seen personally, and in order to get ranked on blogger blogs that I'm using as review affiliate sites, I use original content and make posts 2-4 times a week on random days, and out of personal experience which may vary from person to person, my blogs gets ranked within 8-15 days.

Still a long period I know but better than not ranked at all I guess.

Are you guys talking free wordpress or wordpress that comes with fantastico? Would free wordpress be a good place to direct traffic to my blogger blogs?

Google owns blogspot. Do a google search for blogs on
almost any subject via google, and top sites are blogspot.

Let me repeat. Google owns blogspot. So which do you think
logically is going to get more airplay from google? All things
being equal, blogspot will always outrank the others with google.

And besides, right out of the box, google is adsense/seo/ready.

Notice how there are so many questions for "how do I....on worpress?"
But seldom a query for blogspot? Google has blogspot just the way they
like it, and people must agree.

Unfortunately, it takes Blogger blogs a long time to get ranked in Google, I think the abuse of Blogger (i.e. splogs) really hurts the rest of us.

You're kidding, right? A blogger done right will rank fast.
And you don't think wordpress is abused? I'd put my money
on a google product if I was looking for google rankings.
That statement is like saying I am not posting a video on
youtube because google won't find it and people abuse
youtube. (for those who don't know, google also owns youtube)

If you like wordpress, get your blogs ranked, more power
to you. This is not a rant against wordpress, a fine blogging
bit of a site!
