Default Adsense ads

I am frustrated with the relevancy or NON relevancy of the adsense ads on my sites. Often, the ads will change every time I refresh the page and sometimes they are relevant but more often they are close to relevant, just not quite there. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do with my wordpress sites to make the ads more relevant?

Look at your content and try to target your keyword better in the writing.

Go to the adsense site and look up "section targeting" and use that to target the ads.

Don't sit refreshing your page for a long time to view ads or you'll be adding too many impressions.

Make sure you aren't targeting too many things on one page. I had a problem where I had too many links to categories on individual pages and it was messing up my ads.

I have the same exact problem with non-relevant adsense ads. Sometimes, after a while, the ads settle down to relevant ads, sometimes they don't.

I tried rewriting my content and I have tried the content selection method to guide G to relevant ads. Neither seemed to work.

I now tend to think that the anchor text of backlinks help tell G what ads to run so I am trying to get more backlinks with my main keyword as the anchor text.

Any other ideas/suggestions will be appreciated.

Use relevant anchor text on your internal links as well as outbound links. Anchor text and page titles are the two most important elements. Keyword proximity is also important. Use your primary keywords as first words in your page headlines, page titles, and anchor text of inbound and outbound links.

Separate content so that each page is targeting a single keyword rather than a variety of different words.
