Do Blogs have same SEP opportunity as static web site?

I have been workignthe John Xfactor Adsense program, but not having the success getting ranked for low compete keywords. Setup four sites one is a blog that's been up for 2-3 months:
Losing Weight Tips Healthy Eating Recipes - Healthy Eating Plans

But still not in the top 100. Do blogs NOT get the same SEO treatment as web sites?

I find that Wordpress sites actually work better. My WP sites get ranked and indexed much quicker, as soon as I install Wp I find that the next day, the initial WP install files show up in Google.

It just may be that the keywords that you're targetting are not a low competition as you think.

Is the blog you mentioned abve one of the XFactor blogs? If it is then I'd be interested to see what your Adsense CTR is. That blog could actually do with a little more tweaking just to help it on its way.

What plugins do you use? I would suggest;

XML Sitemaps
Easy Adsense
Google Analyticator
WP Cache

Oh the only way to get back to your homepage fom the internal pages is a link at th ebottom of each page which does nto contain your anchor text, you may want to change that as well.

Google actually like Wordpress and there are some plugins that make it simple to do some optimization.

The link that you provided is not in the format as described in John's course (not even close). So, it seems that you may not be following the course in the ranking area either. Your domain doesn't seem to follow the course either since I don't suspect "healthy eating super foods" is a highly sought keyword.

Good news is that you rank number 3 if you search for it in quotes. Not sure how many people search that keyword though each month.

That was my first adsense site I already setup prior to getting Xfactor, so I alreayd had someonen design it for me as a health blog. Oriignally didn;t intend to use adsense on it. So, you are correct, I should probably just NOT even focus on this site for Adsense.
Since then my sites for Xfactor are in this format

also use a unique description when you use the all in one seo plugin, so it's higher in prominence and proximity of your keywords, rather than letting it use your first paragraph of your articles.

plus you don't have any links to other pages / articles in the side bar, so the user don't have any place to go, nor the search engine for that matter. plus you dont have any in-content linking going on (internal linking) that's linked up to a keyword to another related page... there's so much more I could say that you're not doing, you're missing many of the seo practices.

Also, you do realize this is for Xfactor's adsense template which doesn;t use your internal linking and advises a very basic template, pretty much identical to this one.

And, this is not a WP blog.

your permalinks is set wrong. it's showing the calendar instead. remove it and add that %postname%/ to it instead, it shows you how to do this cos there's a link on your blog to go to.

it doesn't matter what you're doing, listen to me or not, up to you mate, just helping you out, don't matter if you're using a blog or static website, follow my advice on internal linking and you'll rank higher.

I do exactly what xfactor was doing and way before he even got to the stage he was at... check out adsenseigniter dot com for proof, that was only possible cos I know what Im doing when it comes to SEO and using Keyword Elite for finding those $1,2,3,4,5,6, 7 clicks

You see there is '2009/08' in the link? That's what you should remove. Then add '%postname%/'. That's not a matter of WP or non-WP. It is about setting up permalink, so it can give you more traffic on it.

I don't know if you did it for purpose, but at the bottom-right of your Losing Weight Tips - there's a sentence 'Visit our healthy eating blog', but there is no link. If you are not using it, just removed it.

sorry, that's nonsense... just because a site is static or a blog, does not mean more real time content is added.

the reason why google likes blogs is due to the automation of the pinging, plus other factors that use xmlrpc.php?rsd , wlwmanifest.xml, atom, rss, etc, etc, search engines feed of information like this, its the proper way to build sites..

granted not everyone knows all that stuff, but what a person can do is mimic slightly what a blog does. create a ror.xml file add that to your home page header tag, and automate the pinging to other services, you'll find that you'll get indexed just as quick as any wordpress blog.

Blog are better / or a combo of the two.

Make sure you update often and try and get comments.

the only program I used is keyword elite, so I can't say what the other softwares are doing. but i can tell you for a fact and I have proven it to over 10,000 users of keyword elite that my tactics of finding those high paying clicks work, all that info is over at Keyword Elite University

to see the type of results i got last year visit:
High Adsense Paying Clicks, Step By Step Video Guide results now aren't as high as they used to be, but still brings in a steady 360-800 or so a day, with the odd $1k here or so every now and then. and most of the content on the first 80 or so sites were taken from targeted keywords using the article finder inside KE.
