Hi all I'm getting close to 4,000 hits a day to one of my sites. 92% of the traffic is from SEs.

How long are these users staying on your website ? what searches are they using to find your website. There is so many things you can do to make money from this traffic, it all depends what your website niche is about Maybe add some links to a clickbank product, i find clickbank the best marketplace to be an affiliate with. Or maybe add google adsense to your website. Id love to be getting 4,000 hits aday. Although if you are reading your hosting stats, alot of this traffic could be spider bots. I always recommend installing Google Analytics for accurate stats. As with most hosting traffic reports 60% of it is from spider bots crawling your website and not actual visitors |

When you say hits, is this unique traffic or requests/impressions? If its hits then boy thats amazing. Look at your stats and try to understand the top 10-20 keywords people are typing to get to you. You can do many many things to be honest, the easiest is probably AdSense as this could earn you money straight away, however if its a forum it may not work as well as a static site so just a little heads up there. I also agree with Fitzwar, you can use affiliate marketing to make sales using clickbank etc. It does all depend on your target market really but its really difficult to advise on an accurate strategy with so little information. Good luck though, I wish I had 4,000 hits a day...lol Zaheer |

One important thing to note is whether you're talking about unique visitors or just "hits". In many traffic programs a "hit" is a single request for a site asset. This includes images, css files, javascript files, html files, etc... Each page is made up of multiple assets. So, if you have a page that is made up 100 assets, then your 4000 hits becomes only 400 page visits. If each visitor reloads a page twice, then your 400 visits becomes 200 unique visitors. You can see how these numbers can deflate quickly. So, the next question is, are you talking about 4000 unique visitors or something else. |

This could be a gold mine!! right now - even if you don't what to do, let google show you. Simply place a big TEXT Banner ad (adsense) right under your <h1> title on your home page. Then monitor this ad. You see what kind of Ads Google is showing. Then you can go to ClickBank, Commission junction or join any CPA network and simply place similar offers to what google is displaying. I have done this on 3 sites since 2005 and all are on auto pilot. They earn me anywhere from $1000 to $1500 per month! Your site has somehow done the hard work of getting you the traffic, now you can exploit it. Good luck... |

You can use Adsense, affiliate product or even creating your own product to monetize the traffic? There are many ad-networks, try to join them and send your traffic to various advertisers, make some money at least |

I am not sure why people recommend adsense considering your site could show uesless ads. Ask your self if your content on your page is actually going to give good ads or a bunch of random ads which wont help your site. Best thing you can do is build a list, get a nice squeeze page, give away something for free and start building that list up. Obviously sell to the list but also survey them, see what they actually want etc... |

It depends on your keyword. If you are getting traffic from something like "free giveaways" you are probably not going to sell a clickbank product so maybe adsense is better. If you have something like "how to get rid of acne" go clickbank!

For 4000 hits per day you need target visitors so you can use some white hat SEO strategies it really useful to get visitors. Off page optimization is also very important.

Depending on what you're doing. Grab their emails with a small free report, and then launch a product of your own.

Hi Papu.. I think we are all waiting here to know if you mean "hits" or "unique visitors" Could you step in and let us know. If I had 4000 unique visitors I would be collecting their names and sending them a weekly newsletter with offers and links etc, Forget adsense unless it is not an easy niche to produce a product for. IMHO You do not want clicks - you want sales |

I agree with your advice. I had the wrong impression until I learned the difference. What an eyeopener. Still it's a milestone. |
