If you are using wordpress as your website then there is a setting within wordpress that will ping search engines for you. Its under settings, just activate it.
Or you can use the following website to ping your website: pingomatic dot com |

I have been using a service called Pingler. Works really good. Pinging is a way to let the search engines know that you have new content or updated your site. They will then send their spiders to your pages for indexing. From a SEO standpoint, if your pages are optimized then you should benefit from it.
I ping my site when there are any changes or updates. |
