Ok, one more PPC question and then I promise I am done. So I'm really ramping up my Adwords marketing and I'm loving it. But I really want to take this to the highest level possible. I purchased and made use of the Perry Marshall Definitive Guide. It's great, and I found it useful. But now I'm wondering about the Advanced Guide Perry offers on his site. Anyone seen this yet? Wondering if it's what I'm looking for, or if there is soemthing else I should be considering. I've also been looking at PPC Classroom 3.0 and even some of the WSO's right here on WF. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Yes, I understand that if serious, one should not be opposed to buying any course that can teach you even 1 or 2 usable facts/techniques. However, my limitation is not my willingness to spend money on these courses, but my time. I'm very short on time, and do not want to have 3 or 4 courses sitting on my desk. Sure, I'll eventually get to most of them, but right now I'm looking for actionable instruction to make the most of what I'm doing. Thanks in advance. |

They say that Perry Marshall stuff is the best out there as far as PPC goes, but in my opinion the best thing is actually spending that money in actual PPC campaigns and learning from your own tests.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've been personally using PPC for about 4 years now. Problem is, I took a near 2 year break from it, and I just jumped back in this year. Results have been good, but I want even better. If there's a thing or two I can learn from an advanced course, I'm happy to devour it.

Greg Cesar at theadwordsdominator.com is seriously good. I don't know if he is currently selling his classes or not. They cost about 1000$ though, but the inforamtion is some of the most thorough you'll find about ppc anywhere. Perry Marshall's stuff is always solid though, and I believe he offers a guarantee anyway so you don't have anything to lose.

I agree that the best way to learn is actually by investing your own money and seeing how things work. It's what I've been doing for 7 years now and I've yet to read a PPC guide that can compete with my own knowledge (although there's always new stuff to learn!) |

i agree with many of these guys that a great way to learn is to just do it yourself and experiment, but that's even more time consuming and can be costly. Why not learn from the experts who have already made these mistakes and capitlize on their suggestions or tweak the suggestions into you own unique experiment. With PPC there is something new to learn everyday. I know all of Perry Marshall's material and there's never been something that has let me down. Yeah you may have some material in there that you already know, but there's guaranteed to be some new strategies that you wouldn't have thought of. That's what great about getting ideas from a fresh prospective. Think of it this way, Perry has the biggest reputation to live up to with what he does, so of course anything he puts out there has to indeed be the authority. I'd say go for it, otherwise it may be even more time consuming trying to learn all of the new updates and strategies yourself. Good luck |

Actually this is very true for "bridge pages"...especially most recently. I have a client that spending 6 figures a month and got slapped for a bridge page. You can still send traffic to a landing page but it needs to be a more substantial website that isn't designed to just get people to clickthrough on your affiliate link. This usually means more content pages and/or even more products. |

As jburke said, experimenting can be time consuming and expensive. I suggest to learn as much as possible from those who have been there. You don't need to buy all the books out there, just a couple. My own book is now available. I've written it because I find there's something missing from all those other resources (books and classes) and others I've talked to agree once they've read mine. It explains keyword research, the content network and how to create great ads. |

Perry's Definitive Guide is great. Sure, you always have to test, but there is no sense in reinventing the wheel completely. There are a few basic and fundamental strategies that would take a while to stumble upon if you didn't know they were there. The $50 you spend with Perry will easily offset the click costs you will rack up while "experimenting" your way to those basic strategies.

Perry Marshall recommends Glenn Livingston. He runs his own campaigns as well as having his own team doing it for clients. Just Google his name. Ewen Vile |

Thaks for the comments. Some great recommendations on here. I have contacted Glenn Livingston as well. Perhaps I'll pay to have the account managed. I'm looking at other sources of paid traffic, and PPV, so it might make more sense to have as much of this as possible leveraged. Thanks again.

hello voiceofreason. it's ironic to see you bring up Glenn. Glenn's our company's CEO so i know him well. What exactly were you possibly looking to get managed? |

If you tell us what exactly you are looking at fine tuning or getting better at maybe that could help us narrow something down or even provide some help. Are your quality scores close to 9,10 or are they still in the 7 region? What type of products are you marketing (or services)? yours or are they affiliate related? What do you do to your landing page to optimize for adwords? if you give a bit more detail I might be able to help |
