Default Types of backlinks

Hey warriors,

I'm curious, I recently outsourced social bookmarking. And am supposed to recieve 150 of them.

What are the differences between say, Angela's backlink packages and say the 150 social bookmarks that I am going to get?

I am aware of pagerank and stuff (angelas are all 4-9 or so), but what are the differences in the effect it has on a website? Regarding boost in the google search rankings and such.

Any and all input is welcomed =]

Thank you fellow warriors,

-JBorjaPerez

Although Angela's Backlinks are with High PR websites you will find that the location of your links are not PR 4-9 and usally PR 0.

Social Bookmarking can also bring you traffic as well as backlinks but the traffic may be totally untargeted traffic.

I would try and concentrate at getting relevant high authority backlinks. e.g commenting on blogs or guest blogging.

Use social bookmarking if you want to get indexed faster, but some of those links get "pushed down" and loose value as traffic generators. Unless you offer something cool you'll get not much of targeted traffic.

If your linking site is way off topic the link can even hurt your site.

Stick around your niche specific websites/blogs/forums, get listed in proper categories in various directories/search engines, get links that stay for good like from trusted/high PR article directories.

I see more power in Social Bookmarks in terms of getting new pages of content indexed faster by the search engines.

And Angela's links are great for moving up the rankings.

Combine the two - set up Angela's links, then SB the URLs. In fact, add another quick step by ping'ing the URLs of your link pages, too.

Takes only a bit more time, but virtually assures you that all your new links will be found - and usually found pretty fast.

This is 100% false and irresponsible to post.

I love the quick responses to my questions, thank you all.

But now im thinking, if social bookmarking is essentially used to get indexed faster and the traffic from them are untargeted, and only temporary. If my site is already indexed. What is the point of paying money to outsource bookmarking, and even more so, the point of submitting to 150 of them (as i just bought couple days ago). Did I Just waste money?

I'm trying to push to page one of google, these 150 links.. are they Helpful orDoes very little??

Again, Thank you all. I appreciate everything.

The SB links will still help your site's ranking. They just are not the best use of your time or money (if you outsource them). In my opinion. I think Angela's links, blog comment posts, and forum sig links are probably the best. Of course, you want them to be on established authority sites as often as possible. The PR of the page your link sits on is really only important if you care about your site's PR. Otherwise, I'll take a link on a PR0 inner page of a PR7 authority site over a PR1 or even PR2 inner page of a site no one's ever heard of. I would not have said that a few years ago, but I believe less and less in the power of PR for anything other than getting more money when you flip a site. PR certainly does not seem to have any clear and direct correlation with ranking positions.

I think I just opened up a messy can of worms.

Hey JBorjaPerez,

The answer you are looking for is not as simple as you were hoping for. How much effect these links will be on your site is determined by several factors such as competition of the keyword phrase you are targetting and how relevant your site is for this phrase.

If your site is very relevant for your chosen keyword phrase and your competition is low, then these links will help you quite a bit. Of course, the reverse is also true. Although, the links you paid for are not going to hurt you and depending on the price you paid vs. the results you receive will determine if you wasted your money (although I doubt it unless you paid a lot of money for this service).

Furthermore, you could ask the provider you purchased from for proof of past results from others using their service. Just keep in mind the factors I mentioned above...what works for one site will not work for all sites.

Zeus : Thanks for your indepth response, I appreciate it. I have purchased Angela's backlinking packages and used it for 2 of my sites, and 2 months later I still dont see the backlinks when i check on yahoo. And my sites rankings have not boosted or anything. But many say the backlink packages do wonders, So I'll keep at it.

ptone: Thank you for your response. So I guess its up to me to judge my keyword and how effective the SB links will be.. Well hopefully I chose the right keyword right? haha. I paid 15 dollars for 150 SB links. (this is my firsttime outsourcing anything). Hopefully it will help me on the road to seeing profit.

That might be an indication of having chosen keywords that were too competitive. I would advise SB'ing and Ping'ing all URLs of the pages where you set up new links from now on, as well as going back and doing it for older links that you don't see indexed yet. Get them noticed by the search engines so they can benefit you faster. Doesn't take much longer if you use automation for the SB'ing. I use onlywire.com. You can literally SB a URL by clicking one button and filling out a very short form. You have to set up the individual accounts at the SB sites, but that's a one-time thing. Then it's virtually 100% automated. And I use pingler.com for ping'ing. Also effective and very fast.

Although relevant is good for visitors, there are still no proof that relevant links will give you better link juice...

Yeah, authority links help you build "trust" rank, and that is important!

Your social bookmarking effort will not go to waste, just not effective...

Try use automated social bookmarking software like socialbot and BMD, only outsource complicated backlink task.

I keep telling people that picking the right keyword is the key to all making money online! Someone pick some highly competitive keywords and ask me to help them rank, I told them this is not cost-effective, they just won't listen...

Unless that keyword will make me tons of money, I won't spend 6 months trying to rank for it and just making few thousands every month! Article marketer can easily make thousands in their one month campaign, and this accumulate for every month!!
