1 page links to many pages on same site : help me out here
Ok, so I'm doing some deep linking at the moment and I was wondering 'how many links to different pages on the same site can I like to from a single page'?
typical backlinking: backlinksite.com - links to - mysite.com deeplinking: backlinksite.com - links to - mysite.com/pageA now, what about: backlinksite.com - links to - mysite.com/pageA and mysite.com/pageB or even: backlinksite.com - links to - mysite.com/pageA and mysite.com/pageB and mysite.com/pageC etc... how many pages can I link to from a single site and still benefit from it? I understand OBL and the diminishing value of PR but I'm not planning on spamming hundreds of links so I'm not concerned about that. I'm more worried about raising a red flag with the SE. Anyone done any tests on this? Is there a point at which google says 'knock it off you silly spammer'? |

Certainly didn't do any studies, but I typically limit it to 2 per site.
Note that ideally though I mixed it up between domains, so that each domain maxes out on the number of incoming links. So, if I have domain 1 with pages A and B, and domain 2 with pages C and D, I'll: Backlink site 1: link to pages A and C Backlink site 2: link to pages B and D If you were to do with 100 backlink sites total, this strategy would give you: 50 links to each page 100 links to each domain Whereas if you did the pages of the same domain together, you get: 50 links to each page 50 links to each domain.
