Can I use Ping-O-Matic to ping my videos directly?

I use video marketing to promote my website.

Let's say I finished uploading a video on Youtube.

Can I immediately go to Ping-o-matic and enter the video url and have it pinged?

Or does it have to be pinged from a blog (that I do have).

Suggestions very, extremely appreciated.
