Default backlinking organisation

Hi all

As a newbie Im unsure of the best way to keep track of the back linking Im doing for my site - Is it best to keep track of each page in a spreadsheet? And what kind of info should keep? URL /PR/ anchor text/date ...... anything else?

Im sure there are plenty of ways of doing this but I'd really appreciate some tips on what works for you.

Thanks Unlimited1

I only keep track my keywords and article ranking, you can try Market Samurai or rank tracker.

You dont have to keep track of them but if you want to make sure that they are indexed and stay indexed then all you would need would be a spreadsheet with the URL and login info if you need to change or replace a link...good luck

I started keeping track of backlinks using a spreadsheet but eventually gave up. I could not really see the point anymore and the effort seemed to out weigh the benefit.

The original purpose was to use the backlinking sites again for future sites but sites change so frequently and sites that are suitable for one niche are not suitable for another. Now, I just look for new backlinks each time I need new ones.

I use the same links resources to build backlinks to my sites, even the niche is different, it doesn't really seems to affect me much

As what the other member said I also use spreadsheet to put all the links I made for my client. But I also have a client who wants my report to get monitored.

I would just spend the time building more links personally.

If you have more money than time, try outsourcing it

same to me. but, sometimes I used different resources to make it more rich and new. Since some old resources can't be used anymore, so I need something new.

If we can collect enough link resources, we can dominate most of the niche on page 1 !

I think that the best way is certainly to put all the information in a spreadsheet but keep things to a minimum - you don't want the whole process to take too much more time as a result.

Yes, I try to keep a record of all links, which inlcudes URL, title and description. I then convert them to RSS so that this database can easilly be used on many sites/blogs. I like to link to pages that link to me and this technique makes cross-linking automated.

Plus, I can use each "item" as content on different sites, using my own properties in the RSS instead of others'.

Also, the RSS pheed(s) themselves can be submitted to the RSS directories and then pinged, giving even more linking opportunities from the same links.

Basically, the goal is to add as much link juice to each link, so that it passes that juice on to my own money pages.

I save my links through firefox bookmark. This way, I don't end up doing the same link over and over again.

I outsourced all of my link building. They did not ping them though. They gave me a spreadsheet with all of the URLs. I was wondering if I took that spreadsheet and with the magic of Excel, I added the HTML code to create a link that I could just copy the page and paste it into a Notepad file, or even an HTML editor and create a web page with it, then put it on a server and ping it, would that be of any benefit?

I outsourced a lot too, and use SENuke to ping the return results! You can download SENuke and use the pinger even you don't subscribe it!
