Default Issues with Prosper + Hostgator (NOT MySQL error)

Before you shoot me for asking a question about something that was answered three months ago, I'm NOT getting the MySQL error that requires downloading a different functions-install.php file; in fact, if I were, that would make me happy because I would know what to do to fix it. I'm just having issues installing Prosper in the first place.

I have an account at Hostgator, and I follow the (somewhat lacking) instructions on the T202 site. Download the zip folder, extract it, and upload the contents to the server. I put the files in the "public_html" folder, go to my domain like it says to, and I just see an index. I try clicking on "/prosper_1.xx" and it gives an error. I've uploaded the files to literally every place I can think of...the root domain, public_html folder, public_ftp folder, "www" folder, I've created a sub-domain and uploaded it there... Nothing shows up and I still see the index page.

I like Hostgator, and I can't find any other hosting provider that has no contract and unlimited bandwidth and MySQL databases. Any help here? Is anyone else using Prosper with Hostgator successfully?

Brad

Edit: This has been resolved thanks to the awesome (and amazingly fast) support at Hostgator. Turns out I'm a newb and didn't have the files in the right directory. For those that might encounter this problem, I moved all the files to the main "public_html" folder instead of "public_html/prosper_1.xx" folder and it's working perfectly now, after I replaced the functions-install.php file, as is recommended on here and several other places.

Romans 8:38-9 - "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
