Default The Content Network is being Brutal! Is anyone else having t

So here's the scoop:

1) Created my first content network campaigns (about 250 keywords in each campaign)

2) Separated them into Txt and Img

3) Created Dynamic Landing Page AND Silo Site

4) Observed that AdWords Desktop Editor Software stated that FIRST PAGE bids for Keywords provided ranged mostly from 0.07c - 0.60c (a couple $1-$2+ keywords)

5) Since its a $37.00 payout CPA offer, I decide to bid 0.74c on all the keywords.

6) Launch campaign

7) 48hrs later I'm receiving MAYBE 4 - 8 impressions a day?

How is that possible with so many of the keywords having lower CPC estimate bids around 0.07 - 0.25c!?

I thought the content network was supposed to be much lower CPC than Search...if I have to end up bidding $1.48 then how is that right?

Especially with Image ads?!

How much are most of you guys paying for content network keywords?

I know not ALL the keywords would get impressions for .74c but for 99% of 250 keywords to get zero?

Seems wrong...

PS - My quality scores range from 10 (whoa!!) then majority 7's and 6's to a couple 3s

Thoughts?

Have you separated your 250 keywords into tight themes? It is possible that Google can't match what you say you want with any sites.

The Content Network doesn't work on individual keywords. It works on a theme for those words. You manipulate the theme to your liking.

Make a couple of ad groups with no more than 20 keywords but make sure they do form a theme. Don't use contradicting terms.

One example I have 1 campaign where I want to target mothers and parents. I have 1 group that includes words such as freebies for mothers, coupons for pregnant mother, baby samples etc. The theme is quite obvious. I wouldn't add words in about advice for pregnant mothers or parenting tips as this is a totally different theme...this goes into another adgroup.

Also make sure to only use broad 1-3 word keywords. No longtail or phrase and exact match.
