Would changing resource box of old articles in Ezinearticles affect our SEO rankings?

Hi Warriors,

I'm planning to change the resource box of my older articles in Ezinearticles. But if I do that, I think the Ezinearticles webpage for that article would be removed temporarily until approved again.

If this is the case, won't my search engine positioning for that article change? For example, if my article is now holding top spot in Google. Won't it become number 5, 6, or further down if I change the resource box (not sure if the name of the Ezinearticle webpage would change)?

I was ranked 5th in google for a pretty high competetive keyword term. My article had around 6,000 views but my resource box was terrible at like 15%. I simply rewrite the resource box and submitted it, my article stayed 5th in google for a couple more months but now it has dropped.
